Meets Wednesday Evenings Online

Week 6 (February 23 – March 1)

Wednesday, February 25   (7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M., Zoom)
Class Session 6
Topics
  • Strings
  • Data Collections
In-Class Activities
  • Review solutions to prior week's coding assignments
  • In-class group coding exercise.
  • Discussion: Topic TBA
Required Readings
  • Zelle 4e - Chapter 8 (Strings)
    • In section 8.5, you can skip the discussion of a new version of the chaos.py program. It has too much math in it for any teaching value that it might provide.
  • Zelle 4e - Chapter 9 (Data Collections)
    • While the math is an essential part of this chapter, the math notation and old school code examples make it difficult to read.
    • I recommend skimming this chapter and playing my lecture, which includes refactored code examples that are easier to follow.
