Description:
PLEASE NOTE: In the new version of Vincent's Django For Beginners (revised for Django
4.2), the content
related to this tutorial is in Chapter 6. In the old version of the book (revised
for Django 4.0), the content
is in Chapter 5. Please do the Blog App tutorial in which ever version of the book
you have. I will be
accepting submission of Chapter 5 work from the new book from students who submitted
their work before
I resolved the chapter number confusion.
We are using the Vincent text to get a quick introduction to building Django applications.
Chapter 1 addresses installation of tools and getting started. Because we will not
be using
the exact toolset as is used in the Vincent book, I have created tutorial videos for
you to play
while covering Chapter 1. There are separate videos for Windows and macOS.
You will want to do some subset of the tutorials in Chapters 2 through 5. Doing all
of them imay be too
repetitive. But, you be the judge. Then, the Blog App tutorial in Chapter 6 is the
main event. You will be
submitting the project from the Blog App tutorial as your coding assignment.
PLEASE NOTE: I am not expecting you to deploy any of these Vincent book tutorials.
