Weekly Assignments Deadline
Coding Assignments Due
  • Getting Started With Git – Step 1: Clone Remote Git Repository
Description: Each semester, I create a Remote Git Repository that my Senior Capstone classes use to collaboratively author a static Web site. This semester, the repository is named "senior_capstone_fall_2018". Follow the instructions in the tutorial videos below in order to create a cloned copy of this repository on your local computer. Please note that I created the tutorials during a prior semester. So, the video will show me working with the repository for that semester. You will be using the repository that has been created for the current semester.
Submit to: The results of this step will reside on your computer. So, there is nothing to submit from this step. Nevertheless, you must complete this step in order to do Step 2. The results of Step 2 will be graded.
    • Tutorial Video: Access Shared Repository
    • Tutorial Video: Clone Remote Repository
    • Repository Name: senior_capstone_fall_2018. (Please note that since this is a private repository, each of us who is given access to it has our own individualized URL to access the repository that includes our user id. You can find your individualized URL for this repository by logging in to your BitBucket account on the Web.)
  • Getting Started With Git Step – 2: Modify Your Web Page. Commit. Push.
Description: Follow the instructions in the tutorial video below to locate your individual page in the shared Web content. Modify your page as indicated. Commit your change to your local repository. Remember to check for changes in the remote repository that need to be pulled before you push your changes. Finally, push your changes to the remote repository.
Submit to: This step will be graded. We will not be using a traditional dropbox approach for submission. Instead, we will be looking at the updates that you have committed and pushed to the remote repository.
Class Participation Assignments Due (Forum Posts)
